DDAO-41: The Mystery of Placid Clay

A wealthy Amnian merchant is missing a highly valuable shipment of exotic fruit from an island in the Sea of Swords. She needs adventurers to travel to the island and see what might be happening there. Along the way one might expect an exciting sea voyage, a terrible curse, and a mystery on the idyllic island known as Placid Cay.

Shawn Merwin is an RPG writer and editor. He began his career as an administrator and contributor to countless organized play programs (Living Greyhawk, Living Forgotten Realms, D&D Adventurers League, Xen’drik Expeditions, Ashes of Athas, etc.). He has worked as a freelancer for Wizards of the Coast on numerous books, magazine articles, and adventures. He is currently the Resource Manager for the Eberron: Oracle of War Adventurers League campaign. Shawn also designs and edits projects for Encoded Designs, which include the Dungeon World adventure Dangerous Space Jail and the Fate Core system Part-Time Gods of Fate. He has an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts and has taught creative writing at the college and post-graduate level.

What is the Adventurers League?

This is the official organized play campaign for D&D, the world's most famous and popular Role Playing Game, using the 5th edition ruleset. Players take the roles of wizards and warriors and find their way through a hostile fantasy environment. Each player must have an Adventurers League legal character with them.
