Come take a tour through the Warhammer universe.
Legacy Games will be on static display throughout the day and played as time and space permits. These include Fantasy, Lord of the Rings, War of the Rings, and Epic.
Ask about the current edition games – 40K and Kill Team.
Or associated tabletop games – Space Hulk, Dread Fleet, Black Stone Fortress, and Over Kill.
Warhammer-related board and card games can also be picked up here to play in the Courtyard, which is our central board game area. Just bring them back to the Warhammer Tabletop Demo Area when you’re done. Play the Horus Heresy board game, or the Warhammer 40K Conquest or Space Hulk “Death Angel” card games.
- Static displays will be up 8:30am-6pm
- Demos of games available after Kill Team Tournament ends if there’s time before the convention closes
What are Warhammer Tabletop Games?
Warhammer 40,000 and Kill Team are tabletop miniature-based war games set in a dystopian future. Although usually played by two players, theoretically any number of players can participate at once. Players can choose one of several factions from within the Warhammer 40,000 universe – examples include Humanity’s Defenders, the Space Marines and Imperial Guard, the nearly extinct race of Eldar, the all-consuming Tyranids, or the corrupted once-human Forces of Chaos. Each race also has its own sub-groups and flavors – for example there are Chapters of Space Marines with their own specializations, whilst a Chaos army that worships the war god Khorne would look very different than one worshiping the pleasure god Slaanesh.
Warhammer Fantasy and Lord of the Rings are tabletop battle games that put players in command of armies of valiant humans, noble elves, savage orcs, or a variety of twisted and monstrous creatures. Players collect forces of miniature plastic models, all with different stats and abilities, and use them to play out clashes on a tabletop battlefield.
